As every year, the 8th Pleven Friendship Marathon (2022) had a charitable cause – “Run to Pleven in support of children with intellectual challenges”, initiative of the Bulgarian Association of People with Intellectual Disabilities – Pleven. The funds raised were used for the purchase of pottery wheels, tools for shaping and cutting, brushes for decoration, paints, clay, baking oven and other necessary materials for the construction of an art therapeutic area for working with clay by children with disabilities at the Center for Social rehabilitation and integration for children with disabilities (CSRICD) – Pleven.
Art therapy for children with disabilities is an extremely useful method that gives excellent results. Working with clay, in turn, will qualitatively complement the palette of opportunities for conducting art classes in the center.
